I woke up with a thud”We’re here” my sister exclaimed just as I saw the Jefferson Texas sign. Mmm lunch I thought, “Hey Grace wake up sleepy head” my dad said. As we crossed into the small town yummy smells filled our car,our adventure had begun.
Now I know what you’re thinking basic story,no,just listen to me tell my story.
We headed to the Jefferson Hamburger Shop “Mmmm can’t wait for those fries” my dad said They’re not that good I thought to myself. “Ok one chili burger,one Bacon cheeseburger,one Cheeseburger, one Steak,and one pound of fries. “Yes” we all said in melody.
After burgers we went to the Jefferson General Store “Wow they have everything here” my brother said with a twinkle in his eye ,”oooh yummy” my sister said her face full of candy samples,” oh my gosh a GIANT GUMMY BEAR!!!” “Do you want it?” asked my dad “yes” I motioned with my head “but it’s seven dollars I said sadly “Just get it” my dad said. We checked out and went outside “TO THE BOAT RIDES” I exclaimed.
On the boat rides we were told about the stories of the river,” Hey dad want to play some checkers?” I asked”sure” my dad said in reply,and we played the whole boat ride long.
After the boat rides we headed to the Jefferson Fudge Store, and filled up on candy and fudge of course.” YUMMMM” I said my face smeared with fudge.
As we left we stopped to watch the beautiful sunset on Lake O’the Pines, you know The best things in life can change the way you are later.
